Testimonies from EAs around the WorldSouth Korea I lived in South Korea for 10 months. It was something of a shock going from my town of 15 thousand people to a city of 18 million in a foreign land, but I found strength in God, and many people I worked with were helpful. I taught ABCs with Ace and Christi. I was able to teach them how to read English, and during the course of the year, my students and I developed wonderful relationships. I cherish those memories and reflect on them often. I did a lot of growing up as an Educational Assistant, submerged myself in a different culture, forged some fantastic relationships, helped some people, and discovered a lot about God and how I personally relate to Him. Haiti I am so thankful that the Lord has given me the opportunity to serve the school here in Haiti and that He has and is teaching me valuable and rewarding lessons while I work with the children. The wonderful, miraculous blessings experienced here have changed my life forever. I highly recommend the Educational Assistance program to every graduating senior. Being in a Third World country has opened my eyes to amazing things and showed me how blessed I am to have grown up in the United States. Educational Assistants are stretched in every way imaginable but are blessed beyond measure as well. Living without electricity and the comforts of a technologically advanced country is difficult, but it fosters a new appreciation for the blessing of home. More valuable than anything else is the spiritual growth and closeness to God experienced on a foreign field. Becoming an Educational Assistant is an experience that has changed my life forever. Albania Two years ago God called me to the God Loves Albania Ministry as administrator of the Future International School. There are 40 students in our school, and most of them are disabled. Some of them have had some schooling in the past, but after their accidents, they stopped studying. Because of disabilities, some of them have never been to school. The Accelerated Christian Education program is individualized and places students in the curriculum according to their needs. God has placed a great desire in their hearts to study and discipline themselves to be like other pupils in the world. Please pray for the staff, the students, and our needs at God Loves Albania Ministry. V.T., Albania |
